There are mats at Bullen Hall, KHW Health and David Lloyd that you are very welcome to use, however, if you practice regularly and at home, you might want to think about investing in your own mat for hygienic and energetic reasons.
Absolutely, the classes are for all levels and everyone works at their own pace, according to strength, flexility, age and ability, however you might find the Wednesday morning Gentle Yoga class at KHW Health more suitable to beginn with.
David Lloyd classes are intermediate level and you need to do the beginner’s course on a Sunday morning if you want to join the other classes (Policy of the club, please enquire with David Lloyd)
Stretchy or loose fitting comfortable clothes that don’t restrict your movement, no socks or shoes. Please bring layers if you easily get hot or cold and perhaps a blanket for final relaxation.
Classes at Bullen Hall are drop-in, so there is no need to book. Workshops at Bullen Hall need to be booked and paid for in advance.
Classes at KHW Health are drop-in also, but please let me know in advance if you think of joining Pregnancy class.
David Lloyd classes do require membership and need to be pre-booked, Beginner’s Yoga at David Lloyd on Sunday at 10am or Tuesday at 9:15am can be joined by anyone (no membership required), but please contact the club for booking and payment.
There is a Pregnancy yoga class on a Saturday morning 9:30-10:30am for all woman, new to yoga or seasoned yogis.
If you can’t make it to the pregnancy class, you are still welcome to attend Muriel’s mixed ability classes, but not during weeks 10-14 of your pregnancy, and not if you haven’t practiced yoga before pregnancy. Muriel will find appropriate modifications and integrate you into the general class.
Try not to have a big meal 2-4 hours before yoga, however if your blood sugar levels are low, do have a little snack like a piece of fruit or nuts.
